The Grand Loves Ladies

Last year, the inaugural Grand Junction Off-Road Presented by U.S. Bank had more than 25 percent female participation*, which is nearly triple the industry average of under 10 percent. In 2014, with already increasing trends in registration, we'd like to continue progress with recruiting women to the great sport of mountain biking for a good day on the bike.

This year's Grand is a terrific chance for women, both new or seasoned, to challenge themselves with their friends on a choice of three different course distances: 15, 30 or 40 miles. And for that extra touch, the Grand also features a women's only lounge, female-specific manufacturers in attendance at the expo/demo and an all Finisher's stemless wine glass to celebrate achievements and Colorado's wine country post-ride.

Plus, the Pro Women will duke it out for their share of a cash purse totaling $20K, featuring equal payout among the men and women.

Boy or Girl: Give your girl friends a call, get a crew together, and join us in Grand Junction!

Unofficial Tour Pre-Ride Date

For all who live in the desert heat of Arizona, an escape to high country this summer is a welcomed notion. As a chance to enjoy cooler climates and high quality single track, Epic Rides encourages all to visit the White Mountains for the Unofficial Tour Pre-Ride Weekend Sept. 5th - 7th.

With more than 200 miles of well-marked singletrack that grows in quality and quantity each year through the hard work of TRACKS, the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest is the perfect place to cool down, while throwing down, on some of the finest high altitude singletrack in the Southwest.

After a big day in the saddle, be sure to hit the town of Pinetop-Lakeside and refuel at local favorites like Salt, Pinetop Brewery, Red Devil Pizza, Charlie Clarks Steakhouse, Picnic Basket and Moose Henri's.

Downtown Grand Junction is known worldwide for its meandering main street. Lined with localized retail and a broad selection of stellar eateries and drinkeries (yes, we made that word up), downtown Grand Junction is a friendly and mellow environment. Even better, event attendees are going to get an intimate downtown experience thanks to the event hub being located on Main all three days of The Grand.
