Three Full Days of Fat Tire Fun

Cap off a successful summer season with three complete days of Quality Mountain Biking on world-class trails in Grand Junction, CO.

Sure to be brimming with smiles; The Grand kicks into gear on Friday at Noon with the opening of the Backcountry.com Bike and Gear Expo, the 15 Grand Fun Ride, a free Klunker Crit and the spectator friendly Pro Fat Tire Criterium (ahem, beer garden in turn #8).

Then, Saturday at 7:00a all amateur riders tackle the 30 and 40 Grand routes while downtown Grand Junction rocks with the Sierra Nevada beer garden, a massive bike industry expo, and an entire day of music capped off by concert headliner Jamestown Revival.

Sunday at 7:30a the Pro Men and Women take on the challenging 40 Grand course; a terrific opportunity for spectators to pedal or drive a short distance to the legendary Lunch Loops trail network and watch North America's finest Pro mountain bike talent work their bike and fitness exploits. Even kids get in on the action, with the Shimano Youth Series Kids Ride at 8:30a.

For the complete Grand Valley experience, take a couple extra days on either end of Labor Day weekend and visit the Grand Mesa, raft the Colorado River and tour Colorado Wine Country. There's no shortage of good times in Grand Junction, so start making Labor Day Weekend plans; August 29-31.

Grand Course Maps and Video

It's with great excitement Epic Rides presents the revamped map-set for the 15, 30 and 40 Grand courses. We've been making maps for a long time. These are hands down the nicest and most functional ever offered.

These works of art can be used to print and take with on pre-rides, or simply dialed up via Smart Phone to assure a well oriented effort in the saddle while preparing for ride weekend.

Possibly more notable, we encourage all Grand Participants to print these beauties out and put them on the refrigerator, in the car, in the bike room, on the ceiling above the bed, on a corkboard at work or even on the bike. Burn the profile into memory as a means of constant inspiration and motivation while you prepare for Grand weekend. It's sure to go to 11.
