Epic Rides ...A good day on the bike

Tour Afterglow - Photos, Results and Thanks

Glorious weather, savory new sections of singletrack and an all-new venue at the Pinetop Lakes Activity Center & Stables made for one of the most memorable Tour of the White Mountains ever. We want to thank everyone who made the trip up to Pinetop-Lakeside, as well as all the event volunteers, enthusiastic vendors and members of T.R.A.C.K.S. who keep the trails in pristine condition.

Even though everyone is back to the daily grind, you can still relive Tour memories by checking out Tour results and photos. Results appeals can be filed until Sunday, October 20. Simply click here to file an appeal. All appeals will be reviewed thoroughly. Please include details like number plate, category and finishing time and specifically what you are appealing. Results posted after the appeal period are final and binding until the end of time and space.

Channel Your Inner Salty with GU Energy

GU Energy is engineered to do one simple thing: provide your body with the essential nutrition it needs to keep going hour after hour. With the help of Salty the Yeti, this year GU introduced a new gel flavor, Salted Caramel, providing athletes with a dose of 100 calories to deliver high-quality, easily digested and long-lasting energy for athletes.

Salted Caramel features added extra electrolytes with 125 mg of sodium to help with those really hot workouts when you need energy that goes to work fast without slowing you down.

Speaking of not slowing down, Salty the Yeti has been all over the country this year helping fuel athletes from 14,000-foot peaks in Colorado to the lava fields of Hawaii. Be on the lookout for Salty at the 2014 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo, and don't be surprised if you see him out there turning a lap!

Old Pueblo Filling in Record Time

Since opening on October 1, registration for the 15th Annual 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo Presented by Tucson Medical Center has been filling in record pace. In fact, only two weeks into the registration period, half of all available team slots have been filled, with solo entries selling out within hours of opening.

If you haven't already assembled a team, do it yesterday. To ensure your team gets a spot at the starting line, tell your friends, share the news on Facebook, start getting matters sorted and most importantly, don't procrastinate. When we say #24HOP registration will fill in record time, it's no joke.

New Old Pueblo Category -
5-Person Co-Ed 250+

The riders have spoken and Epic Rides has listened. The 2014 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo will debut an all-new category for "experienced" riders out there so they don't have to compete with those young whipper-snappers; the 5-Person Co-Ed 250+ category.

In years past, there were only three 5-Person age categories: Under 150, 150-199 and 200+. With the introduction of this new category, the odds are greater for teams to earn their spot on the podium.
