Epic Rides ...A good day on the bike

Fewer than 100 Spots Remain
for the Tour

The word is out. Featuring a new venue at the Pinetop Lakes Activity Center & Stables in Pinetop-Lakeside and a slew of new singletrack trails in the 50, 30 and 9-mile courses - as well as a 30-mile Forest Road Fun Ride - the 2013 Tour of the White Mountains on Saturday, October 5, is going to be a high altitude hootenanny.

What exactly is a high altitude hootenanny? The best way to find out is to register for the Tour. But with fewer than 100 spots remaining, you don't want to dilly-dally. What exactly is dilly-dallying? It's thinking you have enough time to register, then realizing the Tour is sold out.

Register today!

New Belgium Taps the Tour

After a full day of riding righteous trails and meeting new friends, New Belgium Brewing will be awaiting all riders back at the Activity Center with beer, beer, and more beer. As a fundraiser for TRACKS - the local trails advocacy club in Pinetop-Lakeside responsible for all the amazing trails we ride - we kindly request you bring some cash to throw in as a donation.

In addition to satiating your taste buds with some of the finest craft beer in America, your eyes and ears will be stimulated by the sounds of live music coming from the amphitheater stage. That's right. The new venue has an amphitheater. How cool is that?

Feel Fresh & Flow: Stay at
Holiday Inn Express

Not all of us can bust a freestyle like this guy, but you'll feel fresh and flow mad tight on your mountain bike Saturday morning by staying at the Holiday Inn Express a mere four miles from the Tour venue.

The Pinetop Holiday Inn Express is the Official Host Hotel of the Tour and features a long list of amenities like complimentary hot breakfast, free WiFi and an indoor heated pool, hot tub and sauna. Just mention the "Tour of the White Mountains" discount and you'll receive a special rate of $109 (single) and $119 (double) per night. Word up.

Sunday Pancake Breakfast
Recovery Party

After a full day of riding mountain bikes and partying on Saturday night, come Sunday morning you'll be ready to recover with a hearty pancake breakfast. No, not St. Alphonzo's Pancake Breakfast, but a pancake breakfast put on by Pinetop Fire Station at the Activity Center & Stables.

A mere five bucks a person (kids under 12 eat free!) and all proceeds go to help support local firefighters. Bikes, beer and pancakes; the trifecta of awesome has been attained. See you at the Tour!

See ya trailside,
