SHIMANO YOUTH SERIES KIDS RIDE THROES A FIT IN GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO
Inaugural Grand Junction Off-Road Highlights Mountain Bikings Next Generation
(Tucson, Ariz.) August 19, 2013 - Kids take to the streets of Downtown Grand Junction bright and early Sunday morning, September 1st, during the Shimano Youth Series Kids Ride. The Grand Junction Off-Road mountain bike event is more than an event for adults; it is a chance for the future of mountain biking to shine.
As an interlude to the Pro-Race, scheduled to start at 9 am, the Kids Ride offers a 1-mile and 3-mile option. The 1-mile, or 1 Grand, is recommended for push bikes, trikes, and newbies while the 3-mile, or 3 Grand, is geared towards more experienced riders with a loop course that parallels the scenic Colorado River. Parents are encouraged to join their children, tucker them out before road-tripping home, and share in the experience.
Helmets that comply with U.S. CPSC Safety Standards are required and entry is $10 per youth rider. Registration begins Friday, August 30th at the Epic Rides tent in the Hi-Health Bike and Wellness Expo.
