The Grand - More than just
Mountain Biking

If you've ever been to an Epic Rides event, you know that it's more than just mountain biking; it's a three-day experience with like-minded people and events that entertain everyone, including the non-rider.

The inaugural Grand Junction Off-Road is no different. A vendor and tech expo, side shows, kid's fun rides, widespread shenanigans and the sounds of live music will fill the western range of the Rockies as the sun sets over breathtaking high desert vistas. Local restaurants and wine bars will keep your taste buds satiated and numerous retail shops will keep your spouse busy while you're out riding. Afterward, place a chair and yourself next to the Colorado River, kick back with friends and family and take it all in.

By registering for The Grand, not only will you ride world class singletrack that dreams are made of, but you'll also get a goodie bag worth more than $50 loaded with a t-shirt, water bottle, collectible poster and handy products from sponsors like Stan's No Tubes, ProGold Lubricants and GU Energy. Every finisher also receives a stemless wine glass commemorating their achievement.

Register and Win $1,350 in
NiteRider & ProGold Prizes

If saving $10 isn't enough motivation to register for The Grand, then perhaps the chance to win $1,350 in NiteRider lights and ProGold Lubricants is. The last week of the Grand Month of June Giveaway will see five winners receive prizes including a NiteRider Lumina 350 and Pro 1800 Race plus a healthy supply of ProGold chain lube and bike wash products.

To be eligible, all you have to do is register for The Grand. On Monday, July 1 we will pick five names from the registered riders list and post them to The Grand Facebook page announcing the winners.

Thanking Grand Junction's Supporting Agencies

In order to make the inaugural Grand Junction Off-Road a reality, numerous agencies in the City of Grand Junction have to come together. Epic Rides is extremely thankful for the continued cooperation we've received to build this much-anticipated event. A hearty "Thank You" goes out the following agencies for their generous support.

Grand Junction Economic Partnership
Known locally as "GJEP", the economic partnership improves the quality of life by bringing more businesses, jobs and skilled workers to town while developing and attracting tourism. If you own a small business and appreciate the outdoors, click through to GJEP's page to learn more.

Grand Junction Regional Airport Authority
Flying into this airport is much like the throwback feeling of the old days. Sure security still plays a noted role, however arriving within the hour of a flight while keeping a low stress approach is very manageable. Plus, as the largest commercial traffic hub on the Western Slope, the airport is slated to build a new terminal and improved runways for increased access to/from Grand Junction.

Downtown Development Authority
Downtown Grand Junction is known worldwide for its meandering main street. Lined with localized retail and a broad selection of stellar eateries and drinkeries (yes, we made that word up), downtown Grand Junction is a friendly and mellow environment. Even better, event attendees are going to get an intimate downtown experience thanks to the event hub being located on Main all three days of The Grand.

Grand Junction Convention and Visitors Bureau
Established in 1990, the GJVCB pro-actively markets the beauties and benefits of the Grand Junction area to attract visitors, business conventions, weddings, reunions and more. Click through to their webpage to learn more about an assortment of activities and amenities Grand Junction, CO has to offer!

Featured Pro Athlete - "Rad" Ross Schnell

In German, Schnell means fast, and Ross fully lives up to his namesake. Ross is an All-Mountain World Champion, Singlespeed World Champion, Super D National Champion and a three time Collegiate National Champion. A Grand Junction native and Colorado Mesa University Alumni, Ross has also been an invaluable resource in helping Epic Rides scout trails for The Grand. Plus he's just a really cool, down-to-Earth guy with a rad 'stache. Check'm out: www.rossschnell.com
