10th Annual Whiskey Off-Road Beneficiaries

Epic Rides events are more than just a good day on the bike; they're a tradition where you, your friends and your family can support the local community. The 10th Annual Whiskey Off-Road is proud to benefit both the Yavapai Food Bank and Prevent Child Abuse Arizona.

According to the Annie E. Casey Foundation Kids Count 2012 report, Arizona children living in poverty grew from 17 percent in 2007 to 24 percent in 2012. More than ever before, hungry families need our help. Epic Rides and the Yavapai Food Bank request all event participants and non-riders attending the concert on Saturday with Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers bring two canned goods to donate at the Yavapai Food Bank Tent in the Hi-Health Bike & Wellness Expo.

Approximately 90,000 babies are born in Arizona each year, over half of whom are at risk for poor developmental outcomes including abuse and neglect. Since 1989, Prevent Child Abuse Arizona (PCA Arizona) has been working toward the day when all children in our state grow up safe and healthy. Their mission is to prevent the abuse and neglect of Arizona's children; and their work strengthens families so that costly legal and social intervention isn't needed.

Support Arizona High School Cycling at Cyclefest

Imagine how cool it would be if high schools offered mountain biking as a varsity sport. Starting this fall, the Arizona High School Cycling League will be working towards that dream in its first official season. In order to help raise funds for the league, the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) and the Arizona High School Cycling league will be holding their first annual Cyclefest fundraiser at the Whiskey Off-Road in the historic Elks Theatre on Saturday, April 27.

Tickets cost $25 and doors open at 5:30p with an awesome silent auction including ENVE carbon 29er wheels, S-Works MTB shoes, Adidas sunglasses, tickets to Arizona Cardinals games and a seven day cruise for two to Alaska, the Caribbean, Mexico or Canada/New England.

Following the auction, at 7p a dedication and guest appearance from the legendary Juli Furtado will inspire both kids and adults. At 8:15p, "SingleTrack High" will be screened, an inspiring film showing how the NorCal High School Cycling league has had a positive impact on kids from all athletic abilities and walks of life. Show your support for high school mountain biking by taking part in this year's Cyclefest.

Get a Grip with Geax

There's nothing but sun and beautiful weather in the forecast for this weekend in Prescott, which means the course will be dry and fast. One of the best ways to ensure you have a trouble-free run at the Whiskey is by slapping on a fresh set of Geax tires, the Official Tire of the Whiskey Off-Road.

Whether you prefer the highly popular Saguaro, the fast-rolling grip of the AKA or the semi-slick design of the Mezcal, Geax offers a great selection of tires that perform exceptionally well from the long climb out of Skull Valley to the ripping, rock-studded singletrack downhills.

And with an all new iTire Smartphone app that gives you the ideal tire pressure for your weight and riding conditions, never again will you have to wonder what tire pressure to run.

Sho-Air Pitches in $5,000 to the Whiskey Pro Cash Purse
