$10 in Your Pocket for Free!

Was it Dire Straits that said "Get your money for nothing and avoid the fee"? Something like that. You can buy a lot with $10 - a couple gallons of gas, a six pack of brew, an epic taco - so why would you want to waste your hard-earned cash on a processing fee?

If you've been holding out on registering for the 17th Annual Show Low Bluff Tour of The White Mountains, do it by September 8th and save yourself $10. After September 8th a $10 processing fee will be added to your registration. We don't want to see anyone pay more than they have to for an Epic Rides event, so register today!

Tasty New Tour Trail

For 2012, we've added some savory new singletrack sections for both the 35 and 60-mile Tour routes. The recently renovated inner portion of the Blue Ridge Trail system will be added, featuring a brief climb before hitting an unforgettably flowing, fast and fun downhill that leads you into the famous Ice Cave Trail. This change will take two miles off the distance total, but will make for a much more enjoyable riding experience.

And to get those competitive juices flowing, this year will mark the 1st Annual Dirtball Enduro, where you can time yourself on Blue Ridge Trail and upload your result to Strava. We'll then tabulate all the times and announce a winner on our Facebook page and the following eNews.

Click here to check out updated maps and profiles of each Tour route, plus see the Dirtball Enduro segment.

Tour of the White Mountains finisher patch

Earn a Patch of Honor

Epic Rides aims to make every event a memory that lasts forever, but just in case your memory doesn't have the longevity of your legs and lungs, we also sweeten the pot with swagadocious memorabilia like t-shirts, water bottles, pint glasses, collectible posters and loaded goodie bags. If all of this wasn't enough, we've added one more item to the Tour of the White Mountains swag bag - your very own camouflage iron-on finisher's patch.

Given out to every finisher, each distance will have its own special patch noting the distance ridden. Never before offered at an Epic Rides event, these patches will change every year, so start your collection this year by registering today!

Salt River Canyon

Salt River Canyon Road Trip Playlist

The Salt River Canyon is one of the most scenic drives in Arizona, if not the entire Southwest. It's just one of many reasons to head up on Labor Day weekend for Tour pre-ride in the White Mountains. And no scenic road trip would be complete without a well-selected playlist of music. To help get the creative selection juices flowing, here's a short list of songs that should be on everyone's road trip playlist.

Little Feat - Willin'
Frank Zappa - San Ber'dino
Lynyrd Skynryd - Call Me the Breeze
Allman Brothers Band - Southbound
The Black Crowes - Sometimes Salvation

North County San Diego is known for having numerous open space areas with mountain bike trails that connect each park together forming one massive trail network. The Racers and Chasers Freedom 50 and Never Forget 100 Multi-Park Marathon celebrates this abundance of trails with a 50 and 100-mile race across the San Dieguito River Park. All finishers receive a custom belt buckle, catered food, a live band and a beer garden, so go get dirty in the outskirts of America's Finest City!
