Tour of the White Mountains Registration Open!Fall is not far away and that means it is time to get psyched for the Show Low Bluff Tour of the White Mountains located in Show Low, AZ. On October 6th, the 60, 35, 15 and 10-mile fun ride options will offer up challenges to maximize the fun for your endurance desires. The trails are flowing single track through Ponderosa pine forests cresting over 7,000 feet - this means the cooler temps and amazing views will satisfy rider and spectator alike. So bring the whole family and make a weekend of it by riding some of the best single track in Arizona. While you're in the White Mountains, share in the local culture with good restaurants, shopping, great forested riding, hiking and even fishing (bonus points for those that can tie their flies and cast while in the saddle...) Foodie and Watering Hole Challenge WinnersFor the 2012 Whiskey Off-Road, Epic Rides offered both a food and drink challenge to help inspire culinary and refreshment adventures while simultaneously slaking your hunger and thirst needs. With a plethora of options in the Prescott area the participants utilized a short-list of fine partnering establishments. Those of you that took your cards for stamp-age, after happily imbibing in food or drink at said locations, and had it mailed by the 5th of May were entered into the drawing. Show Low received its name when C.E. Cooley and Marion Clark decided there was not enough room for both of them in their settlement. The two men agreed to let a game of cards decide who was to move. According to the story, Clark said, "If you can show low, you win." Cooley turned up the deuce of clubs and replied, "Show low it is." |
