Osprey Trail Complete in Time for Tour!
TRACKS, an organization of volunteers that build and maintain trails for non-motorized users in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, is pleased to announce the completion of the Osprey Trail.
Osprey connects the Timber Mesa and Ice Cave trails, and is a significant link in the White Mountain Trail System. With addition of the Osprey, hikers, mountain bikers and horse riders can go on longer connected routes. A fine example of utilizing the Osprey trail for a longer ride is the Tour of White Mountains 30 & 60 mile events.
The White Mountain Trail System consists of over 180 miles of trails and is one of the most extensive systems in the West. This system is a significant attraction and outdoor opportunity for regional residents and visitors to the White Mountains.
