The Labor Day Down-Low
We (the fine folks at Epic Rides) want to give you a little ammunition for Labor Day weekend; be it sitting around a campfire with your riding buddies or hanging with the in-laws this weekend…here's your drop in.
Interestingly, Labor Day was first celebrated in 1882. The idea came as a suggestion from Peter Maguire to honor those "who from rude nature have delved and carved all the grandeur we behold." Even with such gusto behind the idea, it wasn't until three years later in 1885 that government ordinances began to further encourage nation wide participation.
And to that end, many years later, for mountain bikers nationwide Labor Day means one thing…an excused absence from life for a day to indulge in an epic ride.
From us at Epic Rides to you, your families and your riding brethren have a great Labor Day…and enjoy the ride!
