Hosted by the City of Grand Junction, and with great cooperation from the Grand Junction Bureau of Land Management Field Office, U.S. Bank presents the 3rd Annual Grand Junction Off-Road endurance mountain bike event and community concert, scheduled for May 29-31, 2015.
Featuring trails of the world class Lunch Loops trail system, Butterknife trail and more; the Grand's 15, 30 & 40 mile courses start and finish on Main St. in downtown Grand Junction and traverse the historic Tabeguache route (pronounced Tab-uh-Watch).
With 3-days of festival, a massive industry expo and live music, this Epic Rides Off-Road Series event offers riders an authentic cross country mountain bike experience punctuated by the opportunity to be immersed in the mountain bike industry's vibe while enjoying a camaraderie fueled weekend.
Whether riding for the wine country inspired finishers stemless wine glass, the locally sourced bottles of vino for top five finishers, or the $30,000 Pro Cash purse (a rare equal payout to male/female categories), each participant is sure to find great achievement by finishing either the 15, 30 or 40 Grand course (1 Grand = 1 mile).
Participants & non-riding attendees are encouraged to enjoy Grand Junctions outdoor enthusiast opportunities coupled with it's Main Street inspired downtown; kids soft play areas, road rides in the National monument, a swim in the Colorado River, touring the local vineyards by bike, and some of the country's best trails (think Fruita, Palisade, +) in addition to the Grand course offer an endless assortment of activities and entertainment unique to the Grand Mesa.
Fundraising: A portion of the funds raised through the Grand Junction Off-Road presented by U.S. Bank will benefit the Community Food Bank of Grand Junction. In addition to the cash donation made at time of registration, Epic Rides respectfully requests all participants and concert attendees bring two canned goods for donation at the food bank's tent in the event expo.
